Talk your way
to a happier life
Understanding one’s self and being understood can give you the confidence and acceptance of who you are or why you feel the way you do.
Whether it’s excepting the past or exploring experiences in the present, Counselling can give you the freedom and space for a more meaningful, happier life.
Let’s start this journey
together
Taking that first step takes courage and I will be there to support you in this journey. You can make your initial contact via email, phone message or over the phone.
Together in this session we will explore your goals and expectations for therapy, background information and a contract agreement.
You can have short term or long term therapy and weekly sessions, or fortnightly sessions can also work, with a 6th session review and explore your thoughts, feeling and processing in therapy
Julie Donoghue
Psychotherapist & Counsellor
A little bit about me
I began my training in 2006 and gained a BA (Hons)
in counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am a Person-Centred Counsellor and initially started counselling at MIND, a mental health charity in 2008. Then moved on to work at Bereavement Services counselling both adults and children. I have experience of counselling in numerous schools and recently organised and facilitated group therapy for adults with disordered eating.
I am currently working in private practice and I also counsel children on a weekly basis in a primary school setting.
This work enabled me to understand the everyday experiences and difficulties that carers face on a daily basis while caring for family members with disabilities, dementia and strokes.
A place we can
connect
My practice is based in a lovely outbuilding that has a very warm and inviting feel. There is free easy parking and good transport links.
